The Artist
I’m Kenita-Lee McCartney, founder of kenita.lee, a proud Wemba Wemba, Wiradjuri, Wotjiboluk, Nari Nari, and Boon Wurrung woman residing on the stolen lands of the Wemba Wemba people. From a young age, I used creative arts to tell stories and express my emotions. Painting, dance, and weaving are just a few of the ways I connect with my heritage and foster healing and self-care. Through vibrant colors and a natural palette, my art reflects my journey of storytelling, healing, and cultural preservation for my children and community.

"Connections is about the land we spend our time on, the people we spend our time with, and our journey along the way. Where there are connections, there is love, and love is endless. These connections tie us to the places we call home, the friends who become family, and the experiences that shape us into who we are." View Here
Kamara
Founders of Kamara Australia, Naomi and Kirsty, introduce their collection “DREAM”. Collaborating with First Nations artist Kenita-Lee McCartney from Kenita.Lee - Matakupaat Arts, they’ve created the signature piece of this collection, the MIM one piece.
MIM features colourful symbols of orange and pink contrasting with a classic black background. “MIM was created to express my connection to my ancestors through design,” says Kenita-Lee. “These symbols are my representation of my ancestor’s strength and the guidance they show me. They symbolise resilience, love, connection, spirituality, and watching over us.” View Here
