Nioka Louisa Ngarra Dress - Sky Country
Sky Country Print
An artwork that lifts your spirit back into the wisdom of above.
Sky Country is a visual journey into the spaces above us — the skies our Old People looked to for guidance, story, ceremony and connection. This artwork honours my Wiradjuri, Boon Wurrung, Nari Nari, Wotjobaluk & Wemba Wemba culture and the deep spiritual relationship we hold with the sky, stars and the unseen.
Painted with soft movement and light, Sky Country captures that feeling of looking up and remembering that you’re held, guided and never walking alone. The marks represent winds shifting, ancestors watching over us, and the conversations carried between land and sky.
It’s a reminder to pause… to breathe… to look up.
To return to that quiet space where you can hear your spirit again.
